Adverse Weather Warning

Adverse Weather – Communication

In response to warnings in the media of the possibility that adverse weather may affect the Warrington area over the next few days, it is a timely opportunity to remind you of our contingency plans should the school ever have to close.

In the event of any closure details will be provided:

  • via a text or email message
  • notification on the Bridgewater app (if new to this, username = bridgewater, password = schoolapp)
  • information on the website – www.bridgewaterhigh.com – and BHSNews Twitter feed (@bridgewaterhs)

Setting work

Work will be set via SMHW. For each lesson your son/daughter would attend on that day, their class teacher will set what looks like a homework but entitled SCHOOL CLOSURE and containing 60 minutes’ work for your son/daughter to be getting on with before their next lesson with that particular teacher.

I trust you will find this information useful but I must stress at the moment this is merely a precautionary letter as our clear expectation is that school will remain open as usual.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. K. Powell
Headteacher
