Ex-pupil singing success

Katie Hammond has built on her previous successes to now become a member of a girl band recently seen auditioning for The X Factor!

Many of you will already have heard about the successes Katie Hammond had whilst a Bridgewater student, including becoming a finalist in the national competition Open Mic UK. It will come as no surprise then to hear that Katie was recently seen as a participant on The X Factor.

Having left year 11 with an A* in Music, Katie has now become part of an extremely accomplished vocal harmony group called G.N.D (short for Girl Next Door), managed by the famous Nigel Martin Smith who previously formed and managed Take That. To hear how well these girls harmonise and how creative their own arrangements are you can visit their Facebook site (just search for G.N.D) and watch some short clips.

The group made it to “Boot Camp” and were seen being put through the first round of this stage by the judges, on The Xtra Factor, after another successful audition.

I’m sure you’ll join us in wishing Katie and the girls the best of success for the future…
