Martha’s Vineyard exchange – First leg

In November, Bridgewater went on the first leg of its annual exchange trip to Martha’s Vineyard where students stayed with their host families for ten days and took part in a number of thrilling activities.

These included ​a trip to Boston and a tour of the Boston Red Sox stadium, Fenway Park, a tour of Newport, a trip around the island, a chilly Jeep tour of Chappaquiddick sand dunes, time with host families and finally, a ​soccer (football) game with pizza for lunch. Unfortunately, Bridgewater narrowly lost the football match but have high hopes for the basketball game when the exchange students come over next summer. One of the pupils who took part in this trip stated, ‘It was the best trip I have ever been on, the people there were really nice and welcoming ​to us all and we had an incredible experience. I cant wait for when my exchange comes over to the UK!’. ​
