National Year of Reading- Senior National Reading Champions Quiz

As part of the National Year of Reading, two teams of Year 7 and Year 8 pupils took part in the live National Literacy Trust Senior National Reading Champions Quiz. This involved answering 75 book-related questions in eight rounds, and competing against schools from across the UK. Rounds included Dingbat Pictures, Heroes and Heroines, Fantasy v Reality and many more! Pupils were able to ‘GO ALL IN’ on reading and show their knowledge of many different genres of books. Pupils said, “It was fun and challenging!” and that they enjoyed the experience of working together as a team to represent Bridgewater High School, whilst discussing books and reading.  We hope to participate again next year!
