Y9 STEM Trip

A group of students from Year 9 recently took part in a S.T.E.M. day at Daresbury Laboratory in partnership with Oxford University.

A group of Year 9 students went to Daresbury Laboratory along with students from all of the other TCAT schools. They took part in activities to try and stop a zombie apocalypse!! There were students from Oxford University that ran each of the activities and provided information about the courses that they were taking. The activities included: using maths to control the outbreak, doing memory tests to figure out who may be a zombie and learning about how DNA works. The pupils enjoyed it and certainly came away from the day with more knowledge than they had arrived with.
