AHEAD OF THE GAME

On Thursday 26th June, 20 Year 8 boys took part in an engaging and thought-provoking mental health and sports workshop, led by Paul Leighton from the Warrington Wolves Foundation. This important session was delivered as part of the “Ahead of the Game – Help Out a Mate” project, which focuses on promoting positive mental health among young people.

The workshop explored how to recognise signs of anxiety and depression in both themselves and others. Through open conversation, interactive activities, and sports-based teamwork, students were encouraged to feel more confident in discussing their mental health and supporting their peers.

This session forms part of our ongoing commitment to the emotional wellbeing of our students and wider community. We are proud to support initiatives that help young people build resilience, raise awareness, and break down the stigma surrounding mental health.
