YEAR 8 VISIT TO UNIVERSITY CENTRE WARRINGTON

On Friday 23rd May, our Year 8 TCAT Challenge group enjoyed an inspiring and interactive visit to University Centre Warrington. The day began with a warm welcome and a guided tour of the university’s impressive Time Square campus, offering students a glimpse into the learning spaces and facilities used by current undergraduates.

Students explored the cutting-edge Immersive Suite and experienced the Simulation Suites and VR Cave at the Remond building, gaining hands-on insight into how technology supports learning in higher education. A highlight was the “Digital on Tour” session, where students engaged with VR, AR, and 3D printing tools—sparking creativity and curiosity.

The visit offered a fantastic opportunity to connect with university staff, try out exciting technology, and imagine future possibilities. A big thank you to Sean and the team at University of Chester for making the day so engaging and memorable!
