A Memorable Day at Warrington Town Hall
On a recent trip to Warrington Town Hall two of our Year 10 students, Aimee and Olly, had the chance to experience a day full of engaging debates, insightful discussions, and exciting opportunities to interact with local government officials. Aimee and Olly were particularly enthusiastic, participating fully in all activities and sharing some brilliant ideas with the group. They were not shy about volunteering to answer questions, which impressed everyone in the room.
The day’s big surprise came at the end when Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner visited the Town Hall to meet the students! She chatted with everyone, posed for photos, and even spoke about the important role young people play in shaping the future. Many students, including our own, took the opportunity to speak with her, making the day even more special.
The trip was a huge success, with students leaving the event feeling inspired and energised by the experience. To top it all off, the MP extended an invitation for the group to visit Westminster and tour the Houses of Parliament, which was warmly received.
Overall, it was a fantastic day full of learning, discussion, and inspiration. Our students certainly made an impression, and they can’t wait for the next opportunity to get involved with such engaging activities in the future.
