Y9 Careers Day success

Careers Day was a school day spent at upper, learning about the different options for our future. The Year 9 students went to talk to different universities, colleges and companies. We were talking about apprenticeships and the skills required for them. We also learnt what we needed to do for jobs for example CVs. The Duke of Edinburgh part was a fun experience and included being told what it’s all about.

Alys, from Year 9 Appleton, who was at the careers day said ‘I found it super interesting to learn about our future’. We learnt how to set up a trangia and made some delicious hot chocolate. By the end of the day, we had so much knowledge about what we could do as a job and career paths. Thank you to everyone involved!
