“The Crucible” trip

Key Stage 4 students go to see a powerful performance of “The Crucible” at the Royal Exchange.

On Thursday 8th October, 38 year 10 GCSE drama and Year 11 BTEC students went to watch the Royal Exchange’s fantastic production of “The Crucible.” It was a very ambitious and striking production which all students appeared to enjoy. The second act culminated in flooding the stage with water in order to show the desolation of the Salem Prison. The students fully understood the play as they had been studying the text practically as well as taking part in a workshop from one of the Exchange’s directors. One student commented:
“I really enjoyed it as it brought the play to life!”
Many thanks to all four Drama teachers who went on the trip!
